Fabrication and Cutting

A few words about the service

We can create a series of technical features by use of fabrication, the most common within porcelain tiles are the insertion of carborundum inserts into porcelain tiles to form step treads, for conformation they are manufactured to either three 5mm or two 10mm bands of contrasting colour to the tile to adhere to the Equality Act (DDA) for step nosings, we would also fabricate a bull nose to the leading edge to create a more elegant feature.

We are happy to work with both natural and reconstituted stone including Quartz, Granite and Marble ranging in thicknesses of 10mm, 20mm and 30mm to form vanity units, work tops, credenzas.

When using natural or conglomerate materials, we can produce edge detail and finishes such as upstands, downstands, bevel edge, pencil round edge and many more.

In addition to all the above, we can offer a water jet cutting service, this allows us to cut porcelain, ceramic or stone to a 0.5mm accuracy. This is regularly used when fabricating our products into bespoke size pieces such as helical staircases or imposing a brand or name into tiles.
